erm...i think should be dark fragrance (TV series) and The Message (movie).
In the TV series Dark Fragrance, he acted as the only son who inherited wealth from his father and his great grandfather. at first he behaved rebelliously and refused to take over his father's position as the director of their multinational company. but he changed his perspectives about life, love, and family after the happening of several unfortunate incidents. he learned that his family loved him and was ready to make sacrifice for his happiness. the most important is this tv series talks about the responsibility of inheritor and how we should appreciate what our ancestors have left for us...it is about the idea of continuity and power...not to let our ancestors regret for what they have paid for the wealth and success...i love the love story in this show for both of them (huang xiao ming and wang luo dan) are rational in love. they still love each other even though deep in their hearts they know exactly that it is impossible for them to be together...both of them have different dreams and responsibilities in life. plus they came from different countries and family backgrounds. bt in the end they were fated to be together i think as Gods never ill-treat true love~
The Message is definitely a thumbs-up movie. the script is extraordinary good and the most important is it has a lot of suspense while the Japanese who occupied China at that time tried to find out betrayers in "Japanese-controlled puppet government". they captured several Chinese working under Japanese government and carried out a series of interrogations and miserable tests to check their sincerity to japanese government, to investigate who is the real betrayer among them. the "cat-and-mouse game" was unquestionably stressful and most of them have almost gone mad. many of the innocents were killed just to find out 1 betrayer..but actually there was a conspiracy among some of them who didnt get killed. they had to sacrifice themselves and some innocents in order to shield their identities as well as to protect their team member so that the significant message of riot cancellation could be transferred to the Chinese. the special feature of this movie is they used secretive chinese code to convey their message. excellent!
a standing ovation to huang xiaoming as he acted as a japanese spy chief and he had to speak japanese...no doubt..he had to memorize the whole script in japanese! and AND he only NG the most for 3 times. professional!!!
